Note: The Jets and Avs played a completely insane game one of their first round series on Sunday which saw the home team outlast the visitors by a final score of 7-6 to take a 1-0 series lead. Today they will hold an optional practice so check back for the Playoff Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose hit the ice in Texas for a practice as they get set to kick off their best-of-three series with the Stars which starts on Tuesday. Manitoba has to be feeling good as they beat Texas 4-1 on Saturday and 8-3 on Friday night.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Not a great night for the goalies, though Jets still had big edge. At 5 on 5 it was quite a clear disparity between the two netminders. 

Winnipeg Sun: Kyle Connor makes presence felt with forecheck, pair of goals for Jets. Watching him go hard on a forecheck was quite the sight to behold.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets outlast Colorado Avalanche to take 1-0 series lead after wild Game 1. Given it was a game that pitted the highest scoring team against the one that’s allowed the least amount of goals, perhaps the winner a bit of a surprise after these two teams combined for 13 goals.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets whiteout parties bring out emotions in long-time Winnipeg hockey fans. The fans were simply incredible yesterday. While we didn’t get a chance to see what was doing at the Street Party, aside from when they’d occasionally check in with them, the fans inside CLC were fantastic all game long. 

Winnipeg Sun: Lowry’s unusual goal fitting for a wild and crazy night in downtown Winnipeg. Might have needed a physics degree to figure out that one. Good thing for the Jets they have a very good video team.
