Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets did battle with the Ducks last night to close out their three-game homestand with a monster 6-0 win over a rather hapless opponent. Today they were scheduled to practice but they will skip that and instead head out on the road for five games starting tomorrow in Columbus.

Note II: Some big news as per Jets head coach Rick Bowness who indicated after yesterday’s morning skate that Gabriel Vilardi is out with an enlarged spleen and he said there was no timetable for his return.

Note III: The Moose were also in action last night as they picked up an impressive comeback (shootout) win over the Wolves. That was their seventh win in their last eight games and especially important as they picked up a point on Chicago for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Central which they’ve now increased to four. They will close out their six-game road trip with a re-match against the Wolves. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.

Note IV: Prior to puck drop in Chicago on Friday we did learn that the Jets had swung a minor league trade sending Wyatt Bongiovanni to the Senators organization for future considerations.

Note V: Be sure to join us this morning for the Illegal Curve Hockey Show for two hours of Jets talk starting at 9 AM. We will be joined by Cameron Poitras of 680 CJOB and Aaron Portzline of The Athletic Columbus.
