Note: The Jets got off to a slow start in Pittsburgh last night and then a match penalty to Brenden Dillon turned the game fully into the Penguins favour as they added two power play goals on their way to a 3-0 victory over Winnipeg. Stay tuned to see if there will be any supplemental discipline for number 5. It was the third time in the last seven games the Jets have been shut out. Despite having their full lineup they didn’t get the result they were aiming for. They’ve got a day of practice scheduled for today in New Jersey as they prepare for the concluding game of this road trip tomorrow night in Philadelphia. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.
Note II: In order to be roster compliant when they took Mark Scheifele off IR it necessitated the Jets putting someone on waivers which they did on Tuesday afternoon by placing Axel Jonsson-Fjällby on it. We will know at 1 PM CST if he was claimed or if he can be assigned to the Moose. (Update: He cleared).
Note III: Today is the final day off for AHL All-Star break for the Moose before they get back in business and resume their push for a playoff spot. It will begin with a practice tomorrow in Grand Rapids as they kick off four games away from Manitoba starting with the Griffins on Friday night.

Winnipeg Free Press: Match penalty the turning point as Pens blank slumping Jets. (Paywall). There is no question this was the difference in the hockey game although not being able to generate anything resembling a scoring chance on either of the power plays they had was also less than ideal.
Winnipeg Free Press: Harkins finding his place with Pens. (Paywall). It was the first time the Jets faced their former prospect Jansen Harkins who was claimed by Pittsburgh on waivers earlier this season. He played 154 games in a Winnipeg uniform as well as 200 in a Manitoba jersey and based on the photos the social media team shared he still has many connections to the players in the organization.
