Note: Almost all of the Jets were back on the ice on Sunday at the hockey for all centre after being off for the Player/All-Star breaks. The only player missing was Connor Hellebuyck who was replaced by practice goalie (and former Winnipeg draft pick) Jason Kasdorf. Of course the focus was on the newest face in the organization being number twenty-three Sean Monahan who spoke for the first time after skate. He discussed being nervous, the benefits of being traded well in advance of trade deadline and the weapons available on the power play for him. According to Mark Scheifele a number of other NHLer texted him after the trade to say the Jets have found their bumper on the PP. Rick Bowness spoke about the selflessness of Vlad Namestnikov after finding out he was being dropped from 2C to 4C in order to challenge for a Stanley Cup. They also got good news on Mark Scheifele and Brenden Dillon. Of course with the news about 55 it means for him to come off IR the Jets will have to place a forward on waivers. They’ll have another practice today before they depart for Pittsburgh as they kick off a two-game road trip in Pennsylvania. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose are currently on their All-Star break with the exception of Brad Lambert and Kyle Capobianco who are in San Jose for the All-Star game. Last night Lambert tried this move which was slick but just failed to click. Manitoba is back in action as they head to Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins on Friday.
