Note: The Player Break for the Jets is now over and the team transitions to being off for All-Star weekend. Most of the team that is as Connor Hellebuyck, Kyle Connor and head coach Rick Bowness are all heading to Toronto for the festivities. The rest of the team are off.
Note II: While it is unrelated to Winnipeg there was a big trade last night in the NHL between Calgary and Vancouver as the Flames dealt pending UFA Elias Lindholm to the Canucks for quite the haul. Strike one centre’s name off the trade bait board.
Note III: The Moose were off on Wednesday after picking up their third straight win on Tuesday night in Rockford. Today they are scheduled to practice in Milwaukee as they prepare for a monumental clash against the top team in the division. The Admirals have now won 11 straight games (haven’t lost in 2024) so this is going to be quite the obstacle for Manitoba to overcome starting on Friday night.
