Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets were in Toronto last night to conclude their three-game road trip against the Leafs. They were doing it without Mark Scheifele, without Gabriel Vilardi and after 7:17 of the 1st period without Josh Morrissey who blocked a shot and would not return to the game. Despite these limitations the visitors played a very good road game, got into some penalty trouble which killed their momentum and ultimately dropped the game late in OT. They are off today.

Note II: The Moose losing streak hit 11 games after they dropped the final game of this four-game homestand 2-1 to the Wolves. The game featured Thomas Milic getting the net for the Moose as the Jets goalie prospect was getting into his first AHL action since November. Fellow Winnipeg prospect Brad Lambert returned to the lineup after taking a big hit in Laval back on January 13th. The only goal of the game for the home team came off the stick of Kristian Reichel who got his sixth of the season to tie the game. They were originally scheduled to be off today but they will now have a practice before heading out on the road tomorrow.
