Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets were scheduled to be off on Thursday as their head coach gave them a two day break after their 4-2 win on Tuesday night but 10 players still chose to hit the ice for an informal practice yesterday morning. Today they are scheduled to practice at 11 AM CST so check back for the Practice Report. It’s worth noting that Mark Scheifele could come off IR today and if so Winnipeg would have to make a move to be compliant so that will bear watching as well.

Note II: The Moose held their fourth straight day of practice on Thursday as they prepared for today’s gameday. Tonight will kick off the first of 11 straight against a divisional opponent when they take on the Grand Rapids Griffins. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: ‘He’s the same Adam:’ Jets together as they’ve ever been under captain Lowry. Scott wrote about the Jets “new” captain after four months “on the job”.

The Hockey News: Mason Appleton’s Week of Football, Birthdays and Slump-Busters: “I’ll Certainly Take it”. That looked like one of his best games in awhile and as Carter writes it was a big start to the week for the Wisconsin product.
