Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Battle-ready Winnipeg Jets seem like different team through first 20 games. Folks who were following along last year are worried this year’s team will be a similar mirage that falters mid season but the truth of the matter is this team as is outlined in the headline just seems different when you look at the analytics and the eye test.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets off to a flying start. (Paywall). Hard to argue with that given the team is flirting with top spot in the Central division.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ blue-liner Chisholm back from conditioning stint with Moose, waiting for his NHL shot. (Paywall). epRinkside: How good are the Winnipeg Jets? (Paywall). That’s the almost 82 million dollar question. Ryan shares what he learned about the local NHL club.

InGoal Magazine: Connor Hellebuyck pro reads. (Paywall). If you’re a goalie geek then this is the article for you as the Jets top netminder shares his wisdom on how to pick (and hold) sightlines on moving screens.

Global News: Jets better than expected at season’s quarter-mark but need improvementsAs Drew said on our last post-game show I don’t know how many folks had the Jets sitting close to the top of the central with a 12-6-2 record but as Kelly writes this team still needs to make some adjustments to crack that upper echelon of teams in the NHL.
