Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets hit the ice for practice yesterday in Tampa which included Gabriel Vilardi wanting to take contact as he continues to work back to full health. With it being a gameday all eyes will be on morning skate which gets underway at 10:30 AM CST. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Tampa Bay, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game.

Note III: The Moose practiced yesterday in Rockford and will take on the IceHogs this evening as their road trip continues. They took two of the three games they played against Belleville/Toronto x 2 this past weekend. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Note IV: Jets prospect Rutger McGroarty will be out for remainder of first half for Michigan which amounts to four Wolverines games. And it would appear the World Juniors are a question mark.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Winnipeg Jets learning from defeat against Stars, itching for rematch. If you wanna be the best you need to beat the best.

Winnipeg Free Press: Versatile Alex Iafallo has earned his spot on Jets’ top line. (Paywall). It’s funny how you talk to folks and they seem to immediately think that Iafallo would be the one moved once Vilardi is back but that might not be quite as certain as they think.
