Note: The Jets did battle against the Sabres last night which resulted in a 3-2 victory thanks in large part to the play of Connor Hellebuyck. No rest for the home team however as it is another gameday today as they will conclude their five-game homestand with a game against the Coyotes. The Jets will hold a very optional morning skate. You can find all the relevant news in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.

Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Connor Hellebuyck steps up to steal win for Jets. While 37 stealing the show was a frequent occurrence during the last few years, getting Winnipeg points even if they didn’t deserve it, this season for the most part that hasn’t been the case. Last night was a blast from the past.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets hold on for 3-2 victory over Sabres. Scott gives you his two cents on last night’s game.
Winnipeg Sun: Sabres’ Benson remembers Winnipeg fondly. While he was just in the province for two of his three WHL (because one was in the bubble) it’s clear that playing on the prairies had an impact on him.
Winnipeg Free Press: Hellebuyck the difference in run-and-gun Jets victory over Sabres. (Paywall). Wieber gives you his assessment of last night’s contest.
Winnipeg Free Press: Former Ice star Benson has fond memories of Winnipeg. (Paywall). While I’m sure he was disappointed in the result you can see this young man is going to have a big impact in the NHL at some point.
Global News: Cole Perfetti scores again as Jets hold on to beat Sabres 3-2. Five games in a row for Cole Perfetti who is doing something in the NHL that he didn’t even do in the AHL (his longest streak there was three games in a row).
Buffalo News: The offensive slump deepens as Sabres fall in Winnipeg. (Paywall). If you wanna check out the observations of a writer who covers the Jets opponent then check out Mike’s thoughts from inside Canada Life.
The Athletic Buffalo: As Sabres lose third straight, Don Granato urges players to ‘wake up’ and ‘compete’. (Paywall). More insight from a writer who covers the Jets opponent.
Sportsnet: Can Kyle Connor become a 50-goal scorer for the first time? I say why limit him to 50? 60 seems very realistic for the Jets sniper.
Jets video:
TSN: ‘The second period has been the strongest period for the Jets offensively’. Dan Robertson and Kevin Sawyer join SportsCentre to discuss the Jets win against the Sabres Friday night that saw an offensive eruption in the second period where they scored all three of their goals. They also break down Connor Hellebuyck’s ‘timely’ saves that helped the Jets win the game.
TSN: Can Kyle Connor keep up scorching goal scoring pace? Heading into Friday’s action, Winnipeg’s Kyle Connor is tied for the league lead in goals with Brock Boeser, Auston Matthews and Sam Reinhart. Two seasons ago, Connor scored a career-high 47 times but the pace he’s setting this year would net him 71 if he can keep it up or exceed it.
