Note: The Jets were off on Sunday after their 5-3 win over the Coyotes on Saturday afternoon. Today the majority of players will practice in Arizona where most of the team remained after the victory. A number of players flew to Minnesota for the funeral of Adam Johnson which was held yesterday and they’ll remain there today for the celebration of life. They will join the team in St. Louis tonight after they practice in Tempe. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose just didn’t have it going on yesterday when they were trying to earn a weekend split with the IceHogs. They showed some fight and bite in the game but ultimately dropped the contest 4-1. They are off today and will return to the ice tomorrow when they start to get ready to host Laval next weekend in Winnipeg.

Note III: Jets prospect Dmitry Kuzmin (2021 3rd) had his first goal as a pro yesterday in his second game with Norfolk.

Note IV: Big news over the weekend was Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reporting that Nino Niederreiter wants an extension in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets leading scorer is … Appleton? (Paywall). The Wisconsin product along with his linemates have clearly elevated their games to start the season. Believe I saw a stat that had his line as a top 5 line in the NHL right now. Not too shabby.
