Note: The Jets began the day on Sunday with the news that they had placed five players on waivers which cut their training camp number down to 35. (Update: That is now down to 32 after a further reduction of three players this morning). We will know at 1 PM CDT if any of the five are claimed or if they get assigned to the Moose. There were also some health updates from bench boss Rick Bowness indicating that Connor, Ehlers, Vilardi won’t play tonight in Calgary. We’ve got the full recap from the day that was here.

Note II: It is a Jets gameday as the pre-season continues with their fifth exhibition game as they take on the Flames in Calgary. They will hit the ice in Winnipeg for morning skate at 10 AM with puck drop at 8 PM CDT. We will have complete coverage today so be sure to stay tuned to this site and our YouTube channel.

Note III: The Moose will get loose today as they kick off their training camp on the ice. Check out their schedule here.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Ehlers, Vilardi, Connor out in Calgary. Despite the organization wanting veteran heavy teams the last two games illness and injury won’t see that be a reality this evening in Cowtown.

Winnipeg Free Press: Samberg has Top-4 potential. (Paywall). He continues to grow into what the Jets had to be envisioning when they drafted him in the 2nd round back in 2018 and as he developed both in college and with the Moose.
