Note: The Jets only had their non-playing group skate on Thursday as well as a few players as part of their IR skate. We did get additional details for guys dealing with illness/malady. While 2023 1st rounder Colby Barlow won’t get a pre-seson game under his belt at this training camp we did get a chance to catch up with him on Friday. A youthful group lost to the Senators 3-1 last night in Ottawa. We’ve got the full recap from the day that was here.
Note II: Today the Jets will see group skating at 12 noon and group 2 at 1:30 PM. There is an expectation the team could be making cuts today. We will have complete coverage today so be sure to stay tuned to this site and our YouTube channel.

Winnipeg Free Press: Harkins battling for spot on Jets roster. (Paywall). We tend to think that the only battles in camp are for the 13th forward as well as the 7th and 8th defencemen but it would appear there is more wiggle room then just those three spots.
