Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: With training camp set to get underway this Wednesday the quiet time across the NHL is about to come to an end. In fact we learned on Monday who would be in what training camp groups with the Jets releasing the full rosters and schedule.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets give Perfetti vote of confidence. (Paywall). The Jets have been looking for a permanent solution to the hole that was left behind by Bryan Little for years. With Pierre-Luc Dubois gone that spot could go to the 2020 1st rounder of Winnipeg who was able to adapt to the position in the AHL.

Winnipeg Free Press: Chibrikov makes big impression in Young Stars Classic finale. (Paywall). Wieber wrote about the talented winger who seemed to do enough in the three games, especially in the final game on Monday, to have plenty of folks talking about his impact.

The Athletic: Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Jets: 8 observations from Young Stars tournament. (Paywall). They dissect how the “stud forwards” (Barlow, Lambert & Lucius) for Winnipeg looked (although they incorrectly suggest Lambert was playing out of position at centre given he played centre in Seattle). They also discuss the play of Elias Salomonsson.

Global News: Big questions for Winnipeg Jets as training camp set to begin. There are so many questions about the Jets and very few answers right now.
