Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: Jets Development Camp ended on Saturday and if you missed any of the media availabilities from the four days of camp we’ve got you covered. Click here.

Note II: With the prospects of Winnipeg heading to their respective homes the next phase will be the signing of the remaining RFAs (Vilardi, Barron, Stanley & Chisholm) as well as a potential free agent or two. The Moose will likely begin making some free agent announcements including the signing of former Jets draft pick/Moose forward CJ Suess who is reportedly back in the fold for two more seasons.

Jets news:

TSN: Contract question complicates Hellebuyck trade. There’s always going to be a degree of risk committing to a 30-year old goalie, even one as good as the perennial Vezina contender (and past winner). Maybe a short-term deal can get done at a higher dollar value but there doesn’t seem to be much appetite right now for any sort of deal.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ first-rounders put in some overtime. (Paywall). Looks like Mike had similar observations as I did this past week at the Jets Development Camp.
