Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets, Moose & Ice news, video and audio.

Note: The Jets may be in offseason mode but they still made some news yesterday as they inked their 2021 2nd rounder Nikita Chibrikov to a three-year ELC.

Note II: The Moose, potentially including the aforementioned Chibrikov who signed a PTO with Manitoba, head to Wisconsin this morning where they’ll practice this afternoon ahead of game 3 against the Admirals which goes tomorrow night. The best of five series is now a best of three with all the remaining games being played in Milwaukee.

Note III: The Ice take on the Blades in game 3 tonight in Saskatoon as they look to take a stranglehold on their best of seven series currently sitting with a 2-0 series edge. Puck drop is at 8 PM CDT.

Note IV: Speaking of teams looking to take control of their series, Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert and his Seattle Thunderbirds play game 3 in Kamloops this evening against the Blazers sitting with a 2-0 series advantage. In fact Seattle hasn’t yet lost a game in the playoffs (10-0). Lambert leads his team in scoring and sits tied for 7th in scoring having played a lot fewer games than everyone ahead of him (not named Connor Bedard). Puck drop is at 9 PM CDT.

Note V: Last of the Jets prospects still in action is Domenic DiVincentiis who was named Goaltender of the Year in the OHL on Monday afternoon. He and his North Bay Battalion are currently tied 1-1 in their Eastern Final series with the Petes. Game 3 is tonight in Peterborough. Puck drop is 6:05 PM CDT.
