Note: The Jets picked up a monumental win over one of the best teams in the NHL on Sunday night handing the Devils a 6-1 defeat. While folks may point out that New Jersey were playing their third game in four nights and a back-to-back, an interesting factoid was that the visitors were 9-2-0 and 5-0-0 when those are road games coming into last night’s game. It was a total team win. And that was important given that the Flames came back to defeat the Ducks to maintain their two point deficit to Winnipeg.
Note II: The Moose were off on Sunday after they ended their weekend with a disappointing 2-1 loss to the Canucks considering they held a 15-0 shot edge after ten minutes and ultimately took 23 shots total in the opening period. They return to the ice today for a practice.
Note III: The Ice picked up two wins this weekend which gave them a 2-0 round 1 series lead over the Tigers. The series shifts to Medicine Hat for game 3 which is underway on Tuesday.
