Note: The Jets were in need of a big win and they got it last night as they handed the Wings a 6-2 loss to kick off their five-game homestand with a big two points. It became even bigger when the Flames came back to defeat the Canucks in OT which means they remains two back of Winnipeg with six games to go for both clubs. They are scheduled to practice at 12 noon. Be sure to check back for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose practiced on Friday as they got ready for their re-match with the Canucks. Manitoba has lost three straight games and will look to avoid losing four straight in regulation for the first time this year in the matinee which is supporting Autism Acceptance game. Puck drop is at 2 PM CDT.

Note III: The Ice welcomed the Tigers to Winnipeg last night for game 1 of their round 1 series which saw the home team take it 5-3 to give themselves a 1-0 series lead. Defenceman Ben Zloty had four assists and Matthew Savoie had a hat trick in the victory. Game 2 is tonight with puck drop at 6 PM CDT.

When I saw Mark Scheifele on the wing at practice on Thursday I wasn’t too certain how that was going to go but that move, along with Namestnikov and Niederreiter seem to have created a bit of a spark, albeit in one game.
