Jets news:

The Athletic Winnipeg: Ranking the Jets lines and pairings that rose to the occasion in win over Ducks. (Paywall). Good insight from Murat whose assessment of the game is encapsulated here.

Global News: A win is a win, but Jets need more urgency. The Jets played well yesterday but do need to give themselves some breathing room in these games. They face a stiff test against the hottest team in the Western Conference tomorrow afternoon.

Sportsnet: Connor shakes off goal drought as Jets edge Ducks to gain ground in playoff race. I thought he’d have to shave his mustache in order to break the curse but he was able to get it done and score a big goal for himself and his hockey club. Probably important that it was a typical Kyle Connor type of goal. Had a big dose of grease.

Winnipeg Sun: Lowry notches second game-winner in as many games as Jets top Ducks. He has stepped up big time of late scoring three goals in his last four games, which included him picking up his 200th NHL point last night. But it is his defensive game which was on display as they tried to hold the lead late in the game.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets take care of business, take down Ducks 3-2. (Paywall). It was a two points they had to have and they were able to put them away into the standings bank which was big with Calgary losing in regulation but Nashville winning in OT.

Winnipeg Free Press: Council gives True North option to buy Portage Place land, parkade. (Paywall). Seems this is going to be a reality.

Global News: Lowry scores winner as Jets pick up two big points in Anaheim. Another game recap.

Orange Country Register: Ducks allow late goal, lose third straight game. Read about the game from Lisa Dillman who covers the Ducks.

TSN: Should Jets be more concerned with Flames or Predators for final wild card spotJets head coach Rick Bowness was honest when asked about motivating his struggling stars but are the team’s recent struggles on him or the players? Despite holding the last wild card spot, should they be more concerned about the Flames or the Predators? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button has more.
