Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets, Moose & Ice news, video and audio.

Note: Did anyone get any sleep? The day after NHL Trade Deadline (which was quiet for Winnipeg as they made just one move to acquire Vladislav Namestnikov and then Kevin Cheveldayoff spoke.) was also a Jets gameday as they were in Edmonton for a late night contest which saw the visitors get pummeled 6-3. No rest for these two clubs as they have a re-match tonight in Manitoba. Any relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 6:00 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Edmonton, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game. This season you’ll have a chance to win great schwag including authentic Jets jerseys, hats, etc after every single game (For a variety of ways to enter click here).

Note III: The Moose were also in action last night which saw them run their points streak come to a spectacular end as not only did they lose to the Wolves 4-1 but they gave up a goalie goal which went pretty viral. They are scheduled to practice today as they prepare to conclude their eight-game homestand with a re-match against Chicago tomorrow afternoon.

Note IV: Speaking of concluding the Ice will finish off a monumental ten-game road trip which saw the local WHL club win seven straight away from Winnipeg but they have lost their last two including last night in Regina when Connor Bedard had a ha trick in a 5-3 comeback win for the Pats. It was their second straight loss and we will find out tonight when they head to Brandon to take on the Wheat Kings how this road trip ends. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Note V: Join us this morning at 9 AM CST on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show for two hours of mostly Jets talk.
