NBC Sports: Jets need Evander Kane to take another step forward. There is no question that the Jets will need Kane to take another leap forward next season if they hope to compete with the other Southeast division teams.
CBA news:
Globe and Mail: Fehr says still sufficient time to get NHL deal done. Fehr keeps floating the idea that the parties can play past the September 15th deadline for the current CBA. However, his role in the 94′ baseball strike is well known by the NHL and you can bet that there is zero chance they will allow this to stretch past the mid September deadline without some sort of resolution.
NESN: Shawn Thornton isn’t worried about CBA negotiations (video). Hosting his 3rd annual golf tournament, he and teammate Daniel “what am I gonna do with all this paella” Paille offered some thoughts on the current state of affairs.
NHL news:
New York Post: Devils owner short, needs $20M more. Well it seems that the Yotes potential owner is also short 20 million. Perhaps they could flip a coin and buy use the collective money on one of these franchises.
Phoenix Business Journal: Doan’s short list. According to reports his list is down to just 3 teams.
