Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose & Ice news, video and audio.

Note: The search remains ongoing for the Winnipeg Jets to find a new head coach. When they do we will have it covered.

Note II: Now that the Stanley Cup had been handed out the attention (aside from that devoted to the coaching search) switches to the NHL Draft which takes place in Montreal on July 7th and 8th. Reminder the Jets have two 1st, one 2nd, one 3rd, one 6th and one 7th.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: With Trotz Watch lifted, who’s next in line in Winnipeg’s head coaching search? Scott gives you the lay of the land now that Trotz is no longer an option. While there is plenty of disappointment in Jetsland there are still some very good candidates left to fill the empty spot on the Jets bench.

Jets audio:

Illegal Curve Hockey Show: Saturday Podcast. To say it was a jam-packed Illegal Curve Hockey Show would be an understatement as we crammed in two hours of Jets talk on the show. Do yourself a favour and download the latest episode where we discuss Trotz, who is next up, what might happen with PLD & much more. We also chatted with Mike McIntyre (Winnipeg Free Press) and Craig Button (TSN).

NHL Draft:

TSN: Kevin Korchinski hits the right notes during rise up NHL draft lists. In our chat with Craig Button he mentioned Korchinski as a player the Jets could potentially get with the 14th overall selection. So check out this interesting Q & A he had with Mark Masters.

TSN: Jimmy Snuggerud on rising up draft boards and improving his skating. Another player mentioned by Craig in our discussion.
