Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note: The Jets took Friday off after a pair of back-to-back games on the road although they did make some news transferring the Morgan Barron recall from an emergency to a regular one. Today they are back in business as they kick off a three-game homestand starting with the Kings. Morning skate gets underway at 9:30 AM CT so stay tuned for the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game against Los Angeles. Puck drop is at 6 PM CDT and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose kicked off the weekend last night with a big 5-0 win over the Marlies. It all began with a big stop early in the opening period by Evan Cormier who, despite the fact he was dealing with a very emotional matter, had another solid outing for Manitoba. Evan Polei opened the scoring and also tallied the fourth goal (one of which was very nice and the other was less remarkable). The Moose had a massive middle frame scoring four more goals (David Gustafsson with a classic goal to make it 2-0, Johnny Kovacevic with a shot to make it 3-0, the aforementioned Polei goal and Mikey Eyssimont with the fifth goal of the game (which put him atop the team scoring leaders). Ultimately the Moose pick up another home W as they defeat the Marlies to improve a to 21-7-0-2 record in Winnipeg. They are now 35-20-4-2 and inching ever closer to a playoff spot. This team just continues to roll along. Re-match goes Sunday afternoon.
