Note: The Jets held an optional but well attended practice on Wednesday as they prepared for the next few days of games starting with the Senators this evening. Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM so stay tuned for the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose played last night in Rockford as their seven-game road trip continued against the IceHogs.  However all good things much come to an end and so the Moose points streak concluded at nine games as they dropped their first decision in regulation since February 26th with the IceHogs taking it 5-3. Today they are off but they are back in business on Friday when they take on the division leading Wolves in Chicago.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Jets continue to confound, even when they win. The Jets can’t afford to take any of these next few games lightly with points at a premium which is why it will be so important to come quickly out of the gate. Or this guy can just keep doing this each and every single contest.

The Hockey News: The Jets are in for a busy summer. Is this the Jets harsh reality? Or can they do a Rangers style re-tool? How would you see it playing out for Winnipeg this offseason?

Illegal Curve Hockey: Why the Jets included the signing rights to Nathan Smith in the Bryan Little trade to Arizona. Winnipeg doesn’t exactly have a lot of right shot forward prospects in the system. So I took a look at why the Jets might have felt the need to deal the signing rights of this prospect at this deadline.

Global News: Jets know what they have, but where will that take them? Ken reflected on the moves made by the Jets on Monday and what it means for this club overall.

Sportsnet: As the playoff push ramps up, Hellebuyck changes what the Jets believe is possible. How many times did we see laissez-faire plays in the Jets zone which resulted in quality scoring chances? Winnipeg really needs to tighten things up as a collective group if they want to make a real push.

Jets video:

TSN: Jets hold optional skate with no coaches on ice. Following their big win against the Golden Knights, the Jets held an optional skate on Wednesday with no coaches on the ice. With almost a full turn out, Jets players say that they understand how important games are this time of year, and are excited to see through the rest of the season.
