Note:  The Jets practiced in Winnipeg on Sunday which featured a Winnipegger getting quite the bump up as Adam Brooks appears to be moving on up. We shall have to see how things shake out as the local NHL club tries to get back on track this afternoon in Calgary against a very good Flames team. No morning skate but be sure to check out the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game. Puck drop is at 3 PM and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose were looking like they were ready to put their poor road trip in the rear-view mirror as they got out to a 2-0 lead over the Admirals after 40 minutes of play yesterday afternoon in Winnipeg. However three goals by the visitors necessitated a comeback and that is exactly what happened as defenceman Dean Stewart (from Portage la Prairie) picked a good time to score his first AHL goal to tie the game with 1:55 left in the 3rd. And that set the stage for this Jeff Malott beauty (see here) to give the home side a 4-3 OT win. The two teams will have a re-match later this afternoon with a 2 PM puck drop.

Note III: Folks have been asking for Winnipeg Ice content and we will get things started by welcoming Jake Maurice to the team to provide insight on the WHL and the MJHL for Illegal Curve. Check out his first Ice Chips feature here.
