Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note: The Jets were off yesterday but today they are back in business in Colorado where they will look to go for their fourth straight win. It won’t be easy given the Avalanche are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and their .690 winning percentage is good enough for top spot in the Western Conference.  Stay tuned for the pre-game report to get all the latest. Puck drop is at 8 PM and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose practiced on Wednesday and today they head out on the road to kick off a five-game road trip which starts tomorrow night in Texas.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Jets at Avalanche — Big test for Winnipeg. Gonna be pretty, pretty, pretty big test for the Jets when they face the Avs this evening.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets interim coach making team his own. (Paywall). Mike had the chance to catch up 1 on 1 with the interim head coach of Winnipeg to discuss a wide variety of topics.

NHL.com: Super 16: Hurricanes remain No. 1; Jets enter power rankings. Winning three straight has earned Winnipeg a spot in the imaginary top 16.

National Post: Jets carry three-game win streak into matchup vs. Avalanche. As illustrated in the notes above this is going to be the toughest test they will have faced in some time.

Sportsnet: Jets elevating their game under interim coach Dave Lowry. You can almost toss out the game against the Capitals given the nature of what happened that day and essentially say the Lowry era began against the Blues. The team has certainly gotten some bounce from the change. Ken wrote about the changes being implemented.
