Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Chevy gets gun, waves it at Walsh. All it cost him was a 7th rounder (if they sign the Monster) and it could save him millions of dollars when it comes to signing Pavelec’s contract. Seems well worth it.
Winnipeg Free Press: Sooner of later you’ll get a Sutter. The guys had Lorne Molleken General Manager/Head Coach of the Saskatoon Blades on yesterday’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show on TSN Radio 1290 and he had nothing but really great things to say about the Jets 2nd pick. (The replay of the show should be up by tomorrow night).
Winnipeg Free Press: You’ve got company, Pavs. The belief is that the Monster can get his groove back if paired with the right goalie coach. One who would rather compliment his style, than change it. It also, as Gary’s article above states, gives the Jets some breathing room when it comes to signing their UFA and RFA goalies.
Winnipeg Sun: Fehr days over in Winnipeg. The Jets gave the Winkler, Manitoba product a chance to be the scorer they needed but his injuries proved too difficult to overcome. Now that he has had time to heal, should be interesting to see if he is able to get on with another team. When healthy he can contribute, but you have to think the Jets would know this and would tender an offer if they thought he could be a cheap option.
2012 NHL Entry Draft:

Illegal Curve: Entire list of Jets picks. Here are Rounds 1-7 of the players selected by your Winnipeg Jets.
Illegal Curve: 1st Pick 9th Overall Jacob Trouba. Getting to know your newest member of the 1st round club for the Winnipeg Jets including some pre-draft analysis of him and a link to his twitter account. Despite the initial concerns over drafting a defenceman, our IC Poll shows that almost 85% of you are happy with this pick.
General NHL news:
Pittsburgh Times Tribune: Penguins not done making moves yet. As if the Pens weren’t dangerous enough, just making one of these two moves would increase their odds of making a serious Cup run in 2012-13.
Edmonton Journal: Are the Oilers offering Sam Gagner and Magnus Paajarvi for Keith Yandle? David Staples takes a look at what value Yandle could offer these young gun Oilers.
Toronto Star: Maple Leafs could pry Luongo with offer for Schneider. As Blues President John Davidson would say “oh baby”.
Comcast Philly: Flyers GM Holmgren makes splash again. He sent James van Riesmdyk to Toronto for Luke Schenn. Apparently the brothers playing together was the theme of the draft this year.
