Note II: The Jets were scheduled to practice but have canceled. They will resume training camp on Friday.

Winnipeg Sun: Young guns Harkins and Svechnikov lead Jets past Oilers. The preseason games as well as practice are all about making an impression and for a new player (to the organization) like Svechnikov it is huge that he is having success while for a player like Harkins it has sort of reintroduced him after last season.

Winnipeg Sun: Maturity showing with Stanley Cup chatter; Ehlers happy on PP2, really. In addition to touching on the topics from the headline Scott also wrote about Paul Stastny discussing Nate Schmidt’s impact in the room.

Winnipeg Free Press: Harkins shines in pre-season victory. (Paywall). The Jets 2015 2nd rounder is showing off the hard work that he used to make such an impact at the AHL level and how his work ethic continues at the NHL level.

Winnipeg Free Press: Timing is right for Wheeler. (Paywall). The Jets window may be open for awhile still but they will probably not have a better chance to accomplish their goal of winning the Stanley Cup than they do either this season or maybe next.
