Jets news:
Jets official site: Sharing a love for hockey. Mark Stuart shares a story about his dad and hockey.
Jets official site: The ninth overall pick. An interesting look at history of the ninth overall pick at the NHL Draft.
Winnipeg Free Press: Chevy’s priorities clear in Glass case. The feeling I had listening to Glass speak to the media last season was that his primary interest was in signing a multi year deal. Something that would give him security.
Winnipeg Free Press: Chevy previews qualities he seeks. Pretty much what all 29 other NHL teams will be seeking on draft day. The challenge is being able to sift through the talent to find someone that matches the requirements you need. Will the Jets scouting staff be up to the test?
Winnipeg Free Press: Who’ll be minding the net? An area that was largely considered solid for the Jets is facing an uncertain future with the rumours swirling that Pavelec had been offered a KHL contract. Couple that with Chris Mason being a UFA and IceCaps goalie Eddie Pasquale still needing some seasoning in the AHL, and the Jets might not be as secure in net as previously thought.
TSN: Jets plan development camp for prospects in July. Last year due to the fact that things were so whirlwind, the Jets could not hold a camp.
Winnipeg Free Press: It’s déjà vu for new assistant coach Pearn. Interesting to hear Pearn say he didn’t want to leave Winnipeg the first time to go to Phoenix.
Illegal Curve: Where does Evander Kane score from? Richard analyzes each of the snipers 30 goals last season. A really interesting read.
