The Athletic: With NHL helmet advertisements here to stay, teams shift eye to jerseys. (Paywall). When the release came out that the Jets were switching the name of the downtown arena to Canada Life but that they would be retaining the corporate sponsor of their helmets for the next five years, it seemed folks were fine with it provided it wasn’t a stepping stone to advertising on jerseys. Looks like that could be the case. While I don’t love the idea we do see it in the AHL and it doesn’t really detract from the uniforms.
