Winnipeg Free Press: Believe it or not…. Jets ready for takeoff. (Paywall). Having recently watched Borat this headline makes me think of Sacha Baron Cohen meeting with the humour coach.  “I do believe it….pause……not”. While teams don’t have to be firing on all cylinders in order to have playoff success the opposite isn’t likely to be a recipe for it either.

Winnipeg Free Press: U.S. teams will live in COVID protocol luxury while Canadian clubs toe the line during NHL playoffs. (Paywall). Given the state of the situation in our country not much else to be done under the circumstances.

Edmonton Sun: Are Oilers’ preferred playoff foe Jets or CanadiensFrom the perspective of those who cover the Oilers but insight into which team they think would be better for Edmonton to face in the playoffs.

Jets video:

Sportsnet: Despite recent struggles, Jets prepared for playoffs. Sean Reynolds and Ken Wiebe discuss the Winnipeg Jets recent struggles and what kind of impact Pierre-Luc Dubois could have in the playoffs.

TSN: Despite struggling at home, the Jets prepare for the playoffsAlthough the Jets haven’t been performing their best while at home in the Bell MTS Place, the team believes that they know what changes are needed heading into the playoffs in order to turn things around and overcome their regular season anxieties.
