Note: The Jets cancelled practice on Friday after a pair of back-to-back games as they look to conserve energy during this condensed season. They hit the ice this morning in Edmonton (12:30 PM CDT) for morning skate as they conclude this two-game set with the Oilers. Stay tuned for the pre-game report which will provide any lineup updates as well as the media availability which follows skate. Puck drop is at 8 PM CDT. Join us afterwards for our post-game show here (be sure to smash that like/subscribe button).
Note II: The Moose were also off on Friday as they continue to practice ahead of their re-start on March 25th. Today they hit the ice at 11 AM CDT for a skate.
Note III: Be sure to join us on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show today as we will be chatting all about the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose this morning starting at 9:00 a.m. CT. Today’s guests include Sara Orlesky (TSN), Craig Button (TSN) and Patrick Johnston (Province Sports – Canucks coverage). You’ll be able to watch via YouTube live here. If you cannot watch live you will still be able to get the show via Podcast.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets’ best defence could be more offence – and more thoughts. Paul wrote about the Jets backend as well as trade talk, fighting for first and more.
Winnipeg Sun: Ekholm trade the one to make for Jets’ GM Cheveldayoff. Another good read from Scott on what is ahead of the Jets with the trade deadline fast approaching next month. Is it time for the Jets to shoot their shot?
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets could be allowed live fans. (Paywall). The Jets email to season ticket holders this week didn’t seem to get much notice but I though it was significant when I saw that they mentioned fans for this season.
Sportsnet: Jets confident in ability to regroup after off-night for top guns vs. Oilers. This team hasn’t had a problem bouncing back after a loss this season.
