Note: This is day 27 since the NHL and AHL hit the pause button on their respective 2019-20 seasons.  Jets captain Blake Wheeler sent a personal message of thanks to health care workers here in Manitoba on Monday.

Note II:  Today Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey will be participating in a conference call at 11 AM.  I will have it covered for Illegal Curve and will post it on here when it is available.

Note III:  The Jets announced they have signed 2017 2nd rounder Dylan Samberg to a three-year ELC.  Conference call with him at 2 PM and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff at 3 PM.  Update:  Check out the conference call with Samberg here.

Illegal Curve:  No update on Bryan LittleWhile the resumption of the paused season seems like a longshot one talking point was a potential return of veteran centre Bryan Little if the season did resume.  Yesterday in his chat coach Paul Maurice didn’t have any additional information on a timeline for Little.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Maurice longs to see Jets perform in playoffs.  (Paywall).  Mostly healthy and on a streak it certainly was gonna make for an interesting conclusion to the 2019-20 season.

Has to be. It has to be”.  Of course he goes into much greater details about the rise of the 2015 2nd rounder.
