The Athletic: The 2020 NHL broadcast rankings: The best and worst markets to watch the games. (Paywall – 90 days free option).  The Jets broadcast team finishes smack dab almost in the middle of the NHL with the 15th ranked broadcast.  Dennis (Beyak) gets high marks, especially out of market, while his sometimes sidekick Kevin Sawyer doesn’t fare quite as well.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Laugh scored by Blake Wheeler, assisted by Jamie Benn; time of the fun... (Paywall).  It was a bit unorthodox of an interview but it was definitely lighter than the usual interactions we sometimes see.

Winnipeg Sun: Wheeler adjusting to life as full-time dad, teacher. One thing folks, not just hockey players, will appreciate in a post-Coronavirus world will be just how difficult a job it is to teach.  When hockey players do return to the business of hockey they will likely have a new found appreciation, not only for their jobs, but for the work that gets done at home when they aren’t present.

Global News: Jets captain Blake Wheeler plays teacher role while hunkering down in Winnipeg.  With the option to return to Minnesota the captain has stuck in Manitoba with his family during this pandemic.
