Note:  The Jets held a media availability in Winnipeg on Friday before they left for Edmonton.  Tonight they will take on an Oilers team that were shutout by the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night.  Be sure to check back for the pre-game report following morning skate for the latest news and audio.  Puck drop is at 9 PM CST.

Note II:  A week of practice for the Manitoba Moose is in the rear view mirror and today they will get a crack at the Chicago Wolves who hold the final playoff spot in the Central Division.  With the Moose sitting eight points back it is going to be quite the mountain to climb to get back into contention and it starts today at 2 PM CST.

Note III:  Tune in for the Illegal Curve Hockey Show which kicks off Jets gameday on TSN 1290 Winnipeg at 9 AM CST.  Three hours of Winnipeg Jets and NHL talk which you can listen to here.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Kulikov living in the moment despite an unclear future with Jets. (Paywall).  Kulikov is in the final year of a three-year contract and has been a stabilizing force for the Jets on the backend.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  Cody Eakin returns to his Winnipeg roots after trade to Jets.  (Paywall).  Ken (who will be a guest on today’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show on TSN 1290) with a great piece about the 28-year-old Winnipegger.

Winnipeg Sun:  Laine’s status up in the airWhen Paul Maurice said there were no breaks it was good news but obviously he will still need some healing time before he gets back into the lineup.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Eakin not the player he was, but could help push Jets into playoffs.  (Paywall).  Andrew Berkshire presents a case for why Eakin can be a useful addition for the Jets.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Penalty-kill’s rise from the ashes fuels Jets’ plan to March into playoffs.  (Paywall).  Helps not giving up goals when short clearly.

The Athletic Winnipeg: How the Jets arrived at the stretch drive and the questions answered along the way. (Paywall).  It has been a wacky, wacky 2019-20 season for the Jets as Murat outlines in this piece.

Jets video:

TSN: Jets hope to carry momentum into Edmonton. Coming off a successful home-and-home set against the Washington Capitals that saw the team take three of four points, the Jets turn their focus towards the Oilers and the dynamic duo that awaits them in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
