Note: With the five game homestand behind them the Jets were scheduled to have a few days of practice before they left for Regina today but the team decided to cancel today’s practice.  The Jets will next practice tomorrow at Mosaic Stadium in advance of Saturday’s Heritage Classic.

Note II:  The big news on Wednesday was that the Jets claimed left shot defenceman Luca Sbisa off waivers.

Note III:  The Moose take off today for a two-game road trip to Grand Rapids and Chicago as they look to get their season back on track after getting off to a 1-5-0-0 start out of the gate.  Coach Vincent provided some injury updates and for Logan Stanley in particular the news was not great.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets bolster defence with veteran blueliner.  (Paywall).  The interesting part according to Darren Dreger was that the Jets were talking to Sbisa’s camp for a bit so clearly this was a player they had an interest in previously.
