Note: New Winnipeg Sun beat reporter Scott Billeck reached out to Patrik Laine’s agent Mike Liut and heard back from him on Sunday.
Spoke to Laine’s agent via email today. Nothing new in terms of the below story, although he did say that he expects things will pick up over the next several weeks. Said talk of RFAs waiting on other RFAs to sign is overstated. Said talks have been slow for all RFAs. #NHLJets https://t.co/eiCsxw5e8L

Jets news:
Sportsnet: Patrik Laine comments a reminder of Jets’ vulnerability in RFA market. This was written on Saturday after Chris Johnston’s interview/article came out on Friday and as you can see from Scott’s tweet above, Laine’s agent Mike Liut has now commented about the situation. Still don’t see the Jets in a vulnerable position externally. I do think a big delay could set back their season.
The Athletic: Inside the RFA standoff and why it impacts nearly every NHL team. (Paywall). This article is relevant to folks in this market with a couple of RFAs still to sign.
