Day 3 Free Agency RecapMoose sign seven players

NoteSean Reynolds of Sportsnet broke the news this morning that Ben Chiarot would not be back in the fold with the Jets and shortly thereafter it was announced that the defenceman had signed a three-year deal with the Montreal Canadiens.

Jets news:

Sportsnet:  As Jets stay quiet, the Central Division is building up around them.  Opportunity knocketh for the young guns like Mason Appleton, Kristian Vesalainen, Sami Niku and Tucker Poolman this upcoming season.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Middle of Central the spot for Jets.  (Paywall).  Mike McIntyre takes a look around the Central Division and ranks how he thinks the teams will do.  (Headline seems to give away where he thinks the Jets will finish).

Working hard on a daily basis to provide the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news for our readers and listeners. I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
