Note II:  The Jets have now likely dispersed to parts unknown following the conclusion of the 2018-19 season.  But we will still have plenty of reaction on site to the end of season interviews so stay tuned.

Note III:  With the Jets season wrapping up that will also mean an end of NHL This Week on TSN 1290 Winnipeg (although fear not as the Illegal Curve Hockey Show continues until the end of July).  Tune in for the final show of the season for two hours of Winnipeg Jets and NHL hockey talk starting at 7 pm.

Winnipeg Sun:  You be the boss – What should the Jets do now?  Wanna be an armchair GM?  Well take the Sun survey to get your thoughts on the direction of the local NHL squad. 

Winnipeg Sun:  Five key questions for the Jets.  Ken’s list includes: 1) Who is behind the bench? 2) Where does Jacob Trouba end up? 3) What does Patrik Laine’s next contract look like? 4) Who is on defence? 5) How long does Laurent Brossoit sign for?

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets draft pick Samberg in no rush to turn pro after back-to-back college titles.  (Paywall).  He’s the dynamic D prospect that has many folks talking about his future although the indication here is that it may be some time before you see him in a pro uniform.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Wheeler, Scheifele key parts of Jets’ problem — and solution.  (Paywall).  Was this season an anomaly or is there a pattern that needs changing?

Illegal Curve: Which Winnipeg Jets might be playing at the World Championship in Slovakia.  So far the only player we know heading overseas to join their national team is Bogdan Kiselevich.

Sportsnet:  Many tough decisions ahead for Jets and GM Cheveldayoff.  Sean Reynolds tries to dissect where it went downhill for the 2018-19 Winnipeg Jets, who put their soul into it but couldn’t escape the first round, but the bigger issue is tackling the future of a club that currently has 14 free agents.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets Setting. The Winnipeg Jets season is now over after the team as bounced in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs over the weekend. Winnipeg Sun Jets writer Ken Wiebe and reporter Scott Billeck look back at the series against the Blues, comment on Winnipeg’s locker cleanout day, and look ahead to what needs to be done this summer to improve the team.

They also touched on parity in the league, how St. Louis was the worst possible matchup for the Jets and why some of the biggest upsets in playoff history happened this season.
