Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news and audio.

Note:  The Jets kicked off 2019 with a tough 4-0 loss last night to the Penguins in Pittsburgh although the bigger loss may be to Nikolaj Ehlers and/or Dmitry Kulikov who both left last night’s game.  The Jets are scheduled to practice today at 1 pm so we shall have to wait and see if we get an update from coach Maurice.  As always be sure to check out the Practice Report for all the latest Jets news and audio.

Note II:  Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was over in British Columbia for the World Junior Championship and spoke to Blake Price of TSN 1040 Vancouver about prospects in the Winnipeg organization including Dylan Samberg, Santeri Virtanen, the Finnish flavour to the Jets, Kristian Vesalainen and more.  You can listen to the chat here.

Note III:  The Moose were also in action last night against the Stars in Cedar Park, Texas as they looked to get this road trip back on track.  Despite Marko Dano scoring his second goal in the last three games they were unable to generate more offence and fell 3-1 to Texas.  They complete the trip tonight in a re-match with these same Stars at 7 pm.

Note IV:  Tune in for three hours of Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose and NHL hockey talk on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show on TSN 1290 Winnipeg starting at 9 am.  Listen here.
