Note:  After the Jets pumped the Flyers 7-1 on Sunday they are looking to keep the good feelings alive when they take on the Blackhawks tonight in the third of four games at Bell MTS Place during this home stand.  It wasn’t a full group at practice on Monday so we will have to see what happens today at morning skate which gets underway at 10:30 am and the Jets pre-game report will bring you up-to-date with the latest news and audio.

Note II:  After being away for almost two weeks the Manitoba Moose are back in the Peg’ and will hit the ice for practice this morning at 10:30 am.  They play six straight at Bell MTS Place starting on Friday night when the defending Calder Cup champion Marlies come to town.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Just another black-and-blue day at the office for Jets forward Tanev.  (Paywall).  It really is a shock sometimes when he is able to get back up after he takes shot after shot after shot.  And then score goals like this.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Laine prefers to score goals, not set them up.  (Paywall).  Considering how deadly his shot is that doesn’t come as much as a surprise.  

The Athletic Winnipeg:  Projecting Winnipeg’s 2021 Seattle expansion draft list (version 1.0).  (Paywall).  It may seem awhile away but it never hurts to check out who the Jets could be saying goodbye to when the newest NHL franchise arrives.

Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press joined Andrew Paterson and Rick Ralph on the Afternoon Ride. They recapped the Jets win vs. Philadelphia, Connor Hellebuyck’s recent performance, the upcoming game vs. Chicago and Mason Appleton’s play since being called up.

Jets forward Kyle Connor joined Andrew Paterson and Rick Ralph on the Afternoon Ride. They discussed scoring on his birthday for a second consecutive season, breaking his ten game goal scoring drought, playing on his new line with Patrik Laine and Bryan Little and what he’s learned in his second NHL season.
