Note:  The Jets lost a hell of a game last night in Nashville by a score of 3-0 as these two clubs renewed whatever hostilities remained from last season’s second round playoff series which Winnipeg won in seven games.

Note II:  Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice provided a status update for Nic Petan yesterday.

Note III:  The Moose home opener is here as the Jets farm club gets a chance to play in front of local fans for the first time since they were eliminated in the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs last season.  Puck drop against the Belleville Senators goes at 7 pm and we will have complete coverage.

Winnipeg Free Press: Predators take pound of flesh as Jets parade to penalty box ends in 3-0 loss. (Paywall).  It was as exciting a first period of scoreless hockey as I can remember but the middle frame was just bizarre. Mike recaps the action.
