Note:  The Jets came back from a two goal deficit to beat the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout last night.   The team is scheduled to practice today at 12 noon at Bell MTS Place as they prepare for an afternoon contest against the Devils on Saturday to wrap up this three game homestand.  The team sits in 2nd place in the Western Conference with less than a week to go before U.S. Thanksgiving (usually seen as a barometer of teams who will make the playoffs).  Update:  NHL Player Safety has offered Radko Gudas an in-person hearing after his slash on Mathieu Perreault in the 1st period of last night’s game.

Note II:  The Moose have won five of their last six games including a 3-2 victory over these Wolves on Wednesday to kick off their four games back at Bell MTS Place.  Manitoba will look to continue to add more points into the standings bank and maintain their 1st place in the Central Division spot.  Tonight is a the first specialty jersey of the season as it is their Law Enforcement appreciation night.

Winnipeg Sun:  Didn’t have their best, but Jets gut out win over FlyersAfter the first 5 minutes it wasn’t looking so hot for the home side.  However they rode out the remainder of the opening frame and managed to secure another victory.  Ken breaks it all down.

Winnipeg Sun:  Deep Jets lineup pulls it out, but where does Perreault go, long-termNumber 85 showed that he still can get it done and won’t be on the 4th line for long.  Paul has plenty in this article including goalie fancy stats and the Manitoba based Flyers.

Sportsnet:  Wheeler, Scheifele live up to status among league’s elite in Jets winThe chemistry that these two have is just unbelievable right now as they put this team on their back and continue to lead them both on and off the ice.

Sportsnet:  Should Radko Gudas be suspended for his slash on Mathieu Perreault?  (Video).  He may have apologized in the penalty box but it was a really viscous and dangerous chop to the head of a player in a defenseless position.

TSN:  Button believes Gudas should be suspended for 10 games.  (Video).  Radko Gudas two-handed Mathieu Perreault in the back of the head with his stick. The Flyers defenceman was kicked out of the game for his efforts. How much more discipline should be added for the slash? Craig Button weighs in.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets overcome shaky start to beat Flyers in shootout.  (Paywall).  Plenty to read in this recap as Mike breaks it all down from inside Bell MTS Place.

Winnipeg Free Press:  The waiting is the hardest part — Jets backup goalie pines for twine time.  (Paywall).  Steve Mason is a veteran and you are not likely to hear him grumble about his current situation.  That doesn’t mean he has to be happy but he is clearly not going to pout or not be a good team guy.

Official site of the NHL:  Jets commission paintings from homeless artist after reading his letterPretty cool story about giving someone the opportunity through their craft to help improve their lot in life.
