Note II: The Jets will hit the ice at 10:30 am for morning skate as they finish off their three game home stand as they take on the Wild tonight at Bell MTS Place. Puck drops at 7 pm.
Note III: In a scheduling quirk the Moose and Wild face off tonight in Iowa the same night as both their parent organizations do battle in Winnipeg. The Jets farm club is looking to build off of Sunday’s 4-1 win over the Monsters as they kick off their three-game road trip.

Winnipeg Sun: Lemieux set for Jets debut. The second year pro was quite reflective in his chat yesterday following skate when he declared he would be making his NHL debut.
Winnipeg Sun: Things to watch in Jets vs. Wild. Ken’s big matchup is Blake Wheeler vs Mikko Koivu. His things to watch include: 1) Hellebuyck is back. 2) Puck management required. 3) Make Dubnyk work. 4) Stay dangerous shorthanded. 5) Watch out for Staal (again).
Winnipeg Sun: Chiarot ready to return. He has been patiently bidding his time as he awaited his opportunity and seems like the defenceman may be getting the call tonight. We will have to wait for morning skate to know for sure.
Winnipeg Free Press: Maurice needs to solve Jets’ defensive deficiencies. (Paywall). Said everyone. Former NHLer turned scribe Scott Campbell with his thoughts on the most pressing issue for the top hockey team in Winnipeg.
Winnipeg Free Press: Myers takes practice off, but he’ll be in lineup, coach says. (Paywall). Sounds like there may be a change in D but it will be between Chiarot and Poolman.
Winnipeg Free Press: Feisty Lemieux gets Wild NHL debut in Jets jersey. (Paywall). I spent a lot of time last season watching him play and he is certainly ready for the challenge of the NHL as his training appears to have gotten him to the level of speed he will need to keep up at that level.
Sportsnet: Nikolaj Ehlers on his quick start. The third year pro feels he has taken a big step this season.
Sportsnet: Connor Hellebuyck buys Jets time, but underlying problems cause for concern. For all those who were ready to write off the young netminder this will give you pause. Of course it will also cause dismay when you read about the actual problems.
