Note III:  The Moose have an even tougher schedule as they left Rockford last night following their 5-3 win and will play in Milwaukee tonight at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.  Puck drop is at 6 pm.  Manitoba is on fire of late as they have won four straight and are 4-0-1 in their last five games.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Five keys to Jets vs. Avalanche.  Quick turnaround but Ken hits us with his list which includes: 1) Avoid the trap. 2) Laine heating up. 3) Make it special. 4) Stay fresh. 5) Pucks at Pickard.  And Ken’s big match-up is Jacob Trouba vs Nathan MacKinnon.

Winnipeg Sun: Instead of being toast, Jets showed some jam.  While the Blues have been reeling of late the Jets showed some good resolve in playing a tight game.  

Winnipeg Sun: Jets lay smack on St. Louis.  Ken writes about the step forward this Jets team took with the win on Friday night at the MTS Centre.  Worth noting that Bryan Little overtook Vyacheslav Kozlov for second in all time points (417) in Jets/Thrashers franchise history.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets make Petan a healthy scratch.  There was some thought that the young forward was held out because the Blues are such a big, heavy team but as Ken points out it is just as likely a message was being sent.

CBC:  Jets not ready to sing playoff blues with win over St. Louis.  While the odds remain against them they picked up an important clean two points on Friday.
