Note: The Jets are in Montreal today following a tough 4-3 OT loss last night in Pittsburgh.  They were originally scheduled to practice today before their afternoon contest with the Habs tomorrow but they have cancelled it.

Note II:  The Moose take on the Marlies tonight at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.  Puck drop is at 6 pm.

Jets news:

Sportsnet:  Winnipeg Jets trade deadline needs.  (Video).  The Hockey Central panel chats about the needs for the Jets.

NHL.com:  Jets focus on recovery ahead of tilt with Canadiens.  More on last night’s game from the team’s perspective.

Winnipeg Sun:  NHL won’t discipline MalkinPaul chimes in to offer a local perspective on the hit that had Jets fans up in arms.

NBC Sports:  No hearing scheduled for Malkin following Wheeler hit.  Looked like he hit Wheeler in the head with his shoulder and left his feet to do so.  Would seem like that merits a call at the least.  Doesn’t set a good example in my opinion.

Winnipeg Sun:  Sidney Crosby puts on a show as Penguins down Jets.  There is a reason he is widely regarded as the best player in the NHL and looks like he could add another 1000 points.  Plenty of entertaining hockey in a physical game between the Jets and Penguins.  Ted breaks it all down from Pittsburgh.
