Note:  The day that fans have been waiting for (or was that yesterday) when they will see an outside game that counts in the standings.  The Jets and Oilers will do battle in an matinee at IG Field.  As per usual you can expect to get all the latest news on illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter|Facebook |Instagram for all the game news.  Puck is scheduled to drop at 2 pm CT.

Note II:  Despite another multi-point game from rookie Jack Roslovic (1 G 1 A) the Moose fell to the Marlies 4-2 yesterday in Toronto.  They will have a chance to earn a split with Toronto in today’s re-match.  Puck drops at 2 pm CT.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets squeak out 6-5 win over Oilers in alumni game.  (Paywall).  It looked dicey when the alumni team copied what the actual team did and give up four straight goals.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Ice tales from a bygone era.  (Paywall).  Plenty of old stories are/were being shared this weekend.

Edmonton Sun:  Oilers oldtimers grace the ice one last time together at the Heritage Classic.  It is one thing we may not appreciate…we may never see this grouping of superstars on the ice again.
