Note: We have hit day 12 of Jets training camp.  We will likely see some training camp moves today (Update: Nine players were re-assigned) as coach Maurice has indicated he would like to get his training camp down to more manageable numbers.  Team won’t have an on-ice skate today after playing four games in the last five days.

Note II:  With Moose training camp on day 2 they will likely be bolstered by a bunch of players sent down by the Jets.  As always keep it locked to illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter| Facebook | Instagram for any and all Jets and Moose news.

Afternoon Jets news:

London Free Press:  Jack Roslovic unlikely to come back from Manitoba Moose.  He has that rare opportunity for a prospect to play with either the Moose in the AHL or with the Knights in the OHL.  Article includes a quote from Roslovic’s agent.

CSN New England:  Trouba would help the Bruins but is he worth the cost?  Seems to be the same cast of characters (or in this instance) teams that are circling the wagon.

Today’s Slapshot:  Darren Dreger elaborates on Red Wings’ interest in Trouba.  More tidbits for what is becoming the never ending saga.

Sportsnet:  Ranking the top 20 right wingers in the NHL, by the numbers.  Jets captain Blake Wheeler cracks the top five.

Jets news:

USA Today:  NHL point predictions.  Kevin Allen has the Jets on the outside looking in this year feeling that the team still requires some seasoning.  He does see Laine as a Calder contender.

Winnipeg Sun:  Connor nets second Jets game-winner.  He’s played three games and has three goals and as Ken points out two of those are game winners.  He certainly looked like he had some speed to burn on the ice last night.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets goalies not making decisions easy for management.  Ted talks to the coach and the players in this piece on the battle for spots in goaltending rotation.  I also looked into this from a statistical perspective.
