Certainly Jets fans everywhere were excited to hear about the first Winnipeg draft pick in 2011 signing long term with this franchise.
Winnipeg Sun: Scheifele signs 8-year deal. There was plenty of speculation as to how long a deal would get done between the Jets and Scheifele and it sounds like both sides were excited to go for the full eight years.

Illegal Curve: AHL will have some new rules for the 2016-17 season. Plenty of new rules will be implemented next season. I’m a big fan of home teams wearing both their light and dark jerseys during the year.
Illegal Curve: Brenden Kitchton signed for one year. I have him or Julian Melchiori as my guesses for Moose captain next season. Kitchton is an interesting interview who never shies away from questions post-game.
