Sportsnet:  Finding hope in this year’s playoff outcasts.  A look at all the teams that didn’t make the playoffs.  From the Jets perspective the focus is on the transition between goalies.

Illegal Curve:  Jets at the World Championship.  Updated our past post looking at which Jets will be heading to Russia next month to play for their respective country.  Yesterday, Marko Dano tweeted that he would join Team Slovakia and Connor Hellebuyck offered up some Team USA clarification.

Moose news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Raffl can’t punch ticket.  It was a laundry list of injuries that Thomas Raffl described to us in the Moose exit interview.  You still got the sense that his desire to make the NHL remains as strong as it ever was.

Illegal Curve:  Brenden Kichton wins leading scorer award; wants to prove doubters wrong.  Playing with a chip on his shoulder has helped him progress to the point he has reached in the AHL and it will be an interesting summer for the ‘old’ defenceman.

Winnipeg Free Press:  It was a Hellebuyck season, but was it his last in the A? (Paywall).  He certainly made his mark in a Moose jersey this past season.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Morrissey’s first NHL game a confidence-booster.  (Paywall).  He used the word confidence quite a lot during the ten + minutes he spent with us on Monday.  Despite the setback of the injury he suffered in early March it is clear that he really feels ready to make that jump to the next level.
